What's contention
SDSL connection solution provider for the UK offering 1MB or 2MB connections.
The difference between cheap SDSL and ADSL is that with all variants of ADSL, the upload speed is always 256KBs. With SDSL the upload speed is the same as the connection speed. For example, a 2 MBs SDSL connection is uploading and downloading from the internet always at 2MBs. With a 1:1 contention ratio this means you have dedicated bandwidth effectively meaning you are not sharing your bandwidth with other users in your area.
